The capital of culture, and its lost cultured capital
Today, the Arab capital of culture glistened under the snow. Shining beneath a white sky which enveloped the city with tenderness and lent it an awe-inspiring aura, Damascus seemed to settle comfortably into a role it always knew it deserved.

Yesterday, Michel Kilo was arrested by the Syrian regime, apparently for having dared to sign the Damascus-Beirut/Beirut Damascus Declaration, published in Assafir a few days ago.
Selective amnesty
Wouldn't national dialogue be more consolidated if people speaking their minds weren't thrown into jail?
